Taylor started her YouTube career by making ASMR videos with the help of her cell phone. Shortly after hitting 50,000 subscribers about 1 1/2 month after the upload of her first video she was featured in a game video made produced by PewDiePie. Taylor quit making videos on her Youtube channel after 2 months old and had nearly 100,000 subscribers. This was mainly due to technical issues related to her brand new equipment and her overwhelming popularity. After a month long break Taylor began to make videos again, including the very well-known ASMR 10 Triggers To Help You sleep (35 million views by august 2022). ASMR 10 Triggers to Help You Sleep was a different video that she uploaded in July of 2017 and has been viewed 38 million times by August 2022. In August 2017, she was interviewed by Shane Dawson for his video, and soon afterward, was able to reach a million YouTube users. Wired UK reported that in February of 2019, she was earning 1,000 dollars per day by advertising on her YouTube channel.

Helfer is a native of the rural area of Donalda, Alberta, Canada and was the daughter of Dennis Elaine and Dennis Elaine Helfer. Helfer is of German, English and Swedish heritage. She attended Stettler's William E. Hay Composite High School. The three sisters Tammy, Tara, and Trena as well as her worked on the family farm. When she was 17 a modeling scout at an agency spotted Helfer as she waited in line for a movie.
